Preparing to graduate and wondering what comes next?

Join the Nevada Mental Health Counselors Association (NVMHCA) for a practical, one-hour virtual workshop designed for graduating clinical counseling students preparing to enter the profession in Nevada.

We’ll focus on the real-world administrative steps that often get very little attention in graduate school but matter quickly once you begin practicing.

    What we’ll cover

    • How to obtain your individual National Provider Identifier (NPI)
    • What CAQH / DataSpring is and why it matters
    • Basic insurance, credentialing, and payer enrollment concepts
    • Practical steps for moving from graduate student to licensed intern
    • Common administrative questions that come up when starting your professional career

We’ll also introduce NVMHCA’s resources for students and emerging professionals, including opportunities for professional development, connection, advocacy, and involvement in Nevada’s counseling community.

    Bring your questions.

We’ll wrap up with an open Q&A so you can ask about the transition into practice, credentialing, professional identity, and whatever else is on your mind.

This workshop is designed to help make the next steps after graduation feel a little less mysterious.
